Ammonia Refrigeration Service Technician

Ammonia Technician Responsibilities:

Provide maintenance and repairs on industrial refrigeration/ammonia systems while providing superior customer service.

Perform routine and emergency industrial refrigeration repairs and maintenance services on Ammonia refrigeration equipment. This includes compressors, electrical troubleshooting of industrial refrigeration systems and control/alarm systems.

Demonstrate an understanding and adherence to all work safety policies, procedures, and governing requirements

Skills and Knowledge:

Ability to troubleshoot and repair ammonia industrial refrigeration, mechanical, and electrical systems.

Knowledge of ammonia refrigeration, electrical, and micro compressor control systems.

Working knowledge of screw compressors, electrical troubleshooting of common types of ammonia refrigeration systems, and control alarm systems.

Exceptional safety knowledge of tools, testing devices, and surroundings.

Ability to read and interpret ammonia refrigeration manuals, documents, and drawings.

Ability to work unsupervised or with limited instruction.

Qualifications:

CARO or CIRO Certification, a plus

Experience in Industrial Refrigeration

Valid driver's license and a safe driving record

Physically capable of climbing ladders, high elevations, and lift up to 50 pounds

Available to travel up to 25%

Available to be on call nights and weekend as required

Basic computer skills
