Senior Collector
Location Fort Worth, TX Hybrid (4 days onsite, 1 day remote after training)
COMPENSATION & SCHEDULE
$19-21 per hour. Based on experience
Monday - Friday 8am to 5pm
Target start date: 06/02/2025
ROLE IMPACT
This Senior Collector role plays a crucial part in managing complex and sensitive collection processes, focusing primarily on bankruptcy and specialty account scenarios. Success is defined by timely and accurate exception handling, legal compliance, and effective collaboration with legal representatives, customers, and internal partners.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Process Collection Exception work via case, email, paper mail, or internal reports with accuracy and timeliness
Conduct research and correspondence through inbound/outbound calls and emails with legal representatives, vendors, and customers
Validate deceased account documentation, including proof of passing and executor of estate documents
Manage Deceased No Probate (DNP) accounts with appropriate follow-up and closure actions
Evaluate and administer Servicemembers Civil Relief Act (SCRA) protections and process necessary modifications
Track and verify payoff fund application for approved manufacturer buybacks
Ensure all activities align with state/federal regulations and company policies, particularly concerning bankruptcy
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum 1 year in Auto Collections REQUIRED
High attention to detail and strong organizational capability
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proven ability to manage sensitive financial information with professionalism
Strong research and problem-solving abilities
Ability to prioritize tasks and meet time-sensitive deadlines
PREFERRED SKILLS
Experience with bankruptcy processing or specialty collections
Familiarity with SCRA, FDCPA, and bankruptcy regulations
Proficiency in reviewing legal documentation related to estates and account servicing
