Full-Time Housekeeper/Laundress - Upper East Side, NY

A busy family of four living on the Upper East Side is looking for a new housekeeper/laundress to join their team. Their current housekeeper has been with them for many years and is moving to be closer to her family. This is a live-out role, Monday through Friday from 9am until 6pm. Flexibility to stay later on occasion, especially Fridays, is important. The family does spend some weeks in the Hampton's and you will be required to join.

Responsibilities

The role will consist of all housekeeping, laundress and some house management responsibilities

Help with Shabat dinner on Friday

Work nicely around kids who are currently 8 and 4 years old

Fully complete the job and key responsibilities daily

This is a very clean home, the principals are meticulous and are looking for someone who matches that energy

Pro-actively organize toys and closets

Sort and care for high-end laundry- must be a wonderful Laundress

Work with vendors, workers, doormen- communicate with all parties

Keep an inventory of all household supplies so the principal can place orders

Answer telephones and relay messages

Qualifications

The family is looking for a true professional who takes pride in their work

A positive, inviting, and respectful individual will do well here

Ideally, someone who has experience in high-end homes

Extremely trustworthy and reliable

Works well with a team and around two children ages 8 and 4

Requirements

Meticulous and very organized

Exceptional Laundress

Ability to stay in the Hampton's 4 nights per week during the Summer

Child friendly

Ability to work well with other staff in the home- no gossip will be tolerated in this home

Strong communication skills

Experience in a kosher home

Salary and Benefits

$40+ per hour

$250/month for health stipend
