Come join us if you are looking for a purpose-driven and authentic career!
At Knix, we’re reimagining intimates to make every body feel unstoppable.
As our Product Cost Engineer, you’ll play a key role in ensuring our products are not only innovative and high-performing, but also produced with maximum efficiency and minimal waste.
Based remotely in Asia, you’ll work directly with our factory partners and internal teams to identify cost-saving opportunities across materials, processes, and construction — without ever compromising on quality.
About You: You’re a cost-conscious engineer with a passion for process and precision.
You thrive on digging into the details, uncovering inefficiencies, and implementing solutions that drive real impact.
With deep technical expertise in apparel manufacturing — from raw material usage to time studies and workflow optimization — you're always looking for ways to deliver high-quality products more efficiently.
You’re collaborative, solutions-focused, and just as comfortable working with CAD software as you are speaking with factory floor teams.
The Opportunity:
Identify opportunities to improve raw material utilization and drive efficiencies while maintaining Knix product quality
Recommend best practices for marker creation and fabric utilization to minimize waste at the factory level
Execute techniques that drive meaningful change to existing production processes (cutting, bonding, flocking, sewing, finishing) to reduce material consumption while maintaining KNIX quality standards.
Conduct work studies, time studies, and motion analysis to optimize workflows and improve productivity
Take ownership over bulk processes including cutting, bonding, silicon, flocking, and other manufacturing applications
Map out end-to-end manufacturing workflows and identify areas for cost improvement
Collaborate with Product Development, Technical Design, and Sourcing teams from early development through production to inform cost-effective construction and marker strategies
Build and maintain reports capturing efficiency metrics and improvements implemented
Ensure sustainability of process improvements through training, quality standards, and ongoing performance tracking
Support quarterly vendor performance reviews focused on cost metrics in collaboration with Sourcing and Production teams
Contribute to broader cost-saving initiatives and special projects alongside internal stakeholders and offshore vendors
Qualifications
Apparel or Fashion Degree (or equivalent experience)
8–10 years experience working with apparel manufacturers or managing relationships with offshore factories
Expert knowledge of pattern-making, marker efficiency, and CAD software (Gerber, Lectra, etc.)
Deep understanding of intimates or apparel production processes (cutting, bonding, silicon, flocking, molding, sewing, and innovative techniques)
Strong analytical skills and a data-driven, systems-based approach to identifying opportunities and solving problems
Experience evaluating new and existing styles for potential process and cost improvements
Skilled in Excel, PowerPoint, and PLM systems
Ability to manage multiple cost optimization projects across cross-functional teams and international partners
Full Time Permanent
