Under the direction of an assigned supervisor, site principal or designee, clean and maintain an assigned school facility, group of buildings, or office space in a sanitary, orderly, and reasonable, timely manner. Participates in the custodial and light maintenance work found at a school site or equivalent site. Oversees and under general supervision, independently performs/supervises personnel to provide a safe and high quality learning environment for students and staff. Custodian IV is recognized as a very skilled custodial worker who may delegate routine work, conduct training as necessary. May perform work, practical knowledge of custodian techniques where an added level of skill is required. Custodian IV is generally assigned work primarily at a single site in a head custodial capacity.
