Job Purpose:

Lead Regional VQD Strategy and System Enhancements. Interface with cross-functional leaders across Sales, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing to improve the effectiveness, efficiency, and predictability of North American Hold Operations leading to a reduction in Hold cycle time and improved customer ETA. Lead the development of regional VQD business strategy as well as repair data and systems strategies related to innovating the processes and systems used to: establish initial suspect range, target suspect range, manage hold unit priority and customer ETA.

Key Accountabilities:

Lead business plan, themes, and strategies for North American VQD. Implement multi plant theme activity for the commonization and sustainability of activities across the Center. Implement change by engaging associates in creating and implementing characteristic improvements.

Lead development of data and systems strategy for VQD. Develop requirements for Hold systems that drive the achievement of NA KPIs.

Lead plant department resources to implement change and drive strong adoption of new systems.

Build a network of productive relationships across HDMA, AHM, and CH to achieve NA plans and targets. Apply key customer (upstream, downstream, and end-user) viewpoint in all activities.

Monitor achievement of VQD KPI & Business Plan targets and initiatives. Analyze results and lead countermeasure development for improvement.

Model appropriate behavior according to Honda Philosophy and set an example in areas of ethics, compliance, and adherence to policy; ensures Honda Philosophy is at the forefront of all actions and decisions.

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills:

Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations, Engineering, or relevant experience

8+ years of relevant experience required - ideally:

8+ years of Manufacturing, Supply Chain, or Automotive Quality experience

5+ years of experience implementing data or IT solutions

Demonstrates leadership skills, gap analysis, problem solving, setting goals, and achieving results.

Knowledge of automotive repair processes, systems, and equipment

Knowledge of vehicle quality standards and process

Lean, Agile, and/or Six Sigma experience

Basic computer skills including email, Excel, PowerPoint. Ability to develop and present reports, representing company direction and work in cross-functional teams to build consensus.

Working Conditions:

Regional travel (~20%)

Open office environment with moderate level of noise and activity

Regular occurrence of communicating and presenting information in groups for evaluation purposes
