Senior Product Manager, Finance Technology

Position Summary...

In this role, you will work cross-functionally with data engineering, data stewardship, Sam’s stakeholders, Sam’s transformation, analytics, FP&A, and controllership to deliver capabilities that drive financial transparency, operational efficiency, and decision-making.

Our team is called Finance Data Factory. Our vision is to build data products and platforms that enable finance teams and business partners to access timely, accurate, and actionable financial data at scale. We aspire to be the most trusted data team in Walmart Inc.

What you’ll do:

Develop, Deliver, and Enhance Products: You will manage product roadmaps, align business and technical needs, analyze customer and financial data, turn customer insights into actionable initiatives, determine rollout strategy, and manage risks. Prioritize the flow of work by leading the Product Backlog refinement sessions to deliver timely business value.

Product Vision & Strategy: Help define and support a clear product vision, strategy, and roadmaps aligned with overall business objectives in collaboration with key stakeholders. This includes conducting thorough research and analysis to identify opportunities and inform strategic decisions.

Performance Metrics: Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product success, stakeholder / customer satisfaction, and inform future decisions.

AI Adoption: Provide thought leadership, roadmaps, and operational blueprints for AI adoption in our data assets and processes.

Data: Collaborate with data engineering and analytics teams to ensure robust data pipelines, governance, quality, and access frameworks are in place.

What you’ll bring:

You are comfortable influencing others, leading teams, managing stakeholders, getting buy-in from leadership, and communicating clearly.

You have an analytical mindset for solving the most impactful problems in the finance domain.

You have experience working with complex financial and operational data in retail or ecommerce.

You ideally have understanding of financial domain and metrics, including P&L, forecasting, budgeting, and financial reporting.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related area and 5 years’ experience in product management.

Or 7 years’ experience in product management or related area.

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00-$180,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
