Job Description
POSITION DESCRIPTION
Facilitate hiring and training with drivers and fleet employees
Effectively communicate and implement safety initiatives
Investigate and report all on the job injuries and vehicular accidents
Monitor the expiration dates of all CDL's, medical cards, TWIC cards and any other
Complete all qualification files for driver applicants
Complete all background checks on new employees and former employees
Instruct and assist drivers on the proper use of all on board communications
Co-ordinate all random drug and alcohol testing to ensure compliance with DOT regulations as well as pre-employment, post-accident testing, and reasonable suspicion testing
Check all driver qualification files regularly to ensure they are maintained current
Perform annual reviews of all drivers
Respond to customer/public complaints as needed
Recommend discipline in accordance with published company policies
Hold regular safety meetings
Assist department management as needed
QUALIFICATIONS
3 - 5 years experience in transportation operations or regulatory compliance
Knowledge of FMCSR's and CSA
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite ( Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook)
Previous experience with E-Logs, TMW dispatch software a plus
Effective problem-solving skills
High level or organizational skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent customer service skills
CDL a plus
