Traveling Construction Superintendent - Concrete Division
Place Services has an immediate opening for a Traveling Construction Superintendent - Concrete Division in our Marietta, GA location. This position will be primarily focused on supervising, inspecting, and approving day-to-day operations of concrete projects.
The Concrete Superintendent will oversee all concrete work on construction sites, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety. This role involves coordinating with project managers, subcontractors, and site workers to manage and direct the execution of concrete projects, including foundations, slabs, walls, and other concrete structures.

What You'll Do:
Project Planning and Coordination
Develop detailed project plans and schedules for concrete work.
Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and architects to understand project specifications and requirements.
Plan and organize manpower, materials, and equipment for concrete projects.
On-Site Management
Supervise and manage all on-site activities related to concrete work.
Ensure that all work is performed according to plans, specifications, and industry standards.
Monitor the progress of work and adjust as necessary to ensure timely completion.
Quality Control
Inspect and ensure the quality of all concrete work.
Conduct regular site inspections to identify and resolve any issues or defects.
Ensure that all work complies with safety regulations and quality standards.
Team Leadership
Lead and mentor a team of concrete workers, including laborers, foremen, and subcontractors.
Provide guidance, training, and support to team members.
Foster a positive and productive work environment.
Safety Compliance
Enforce safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
Conduct safety meetings and ensure that all team members adhere to safety standards.
Investigate and report any safety incidents or accidents.
Communication
Maintain open and effective communication with project managers, clients, and other stakeholders.
Prepare and submit regular progress reports.
Address and resolve any issues or concerns raised by clients or team members.

What You Bring:
High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in construction management or a related field is preferred.
Minimum of 5+ years of experience in concrete, masonry, asphalt, or striping construction with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and equipment.
Strong leadership and management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
Proficiency in project management software and tools.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
