Job Title: Senior Construction Manager
Location: Sacramento, CA
Work Type: On-site
Duration: 12-Month Contract
Position Overview:
The Senior Construction Manager leads all technical aspects of telecom equipment deployment at assigned sites. Acting as the on-site authority, they assess site readiness, coordinate suppliers, manage schedules, and ensure construction quality and compliance within budget. While they do not perform fieldwork, they oversee complex projects, guide teams, and provide support to junior managers.
Key Responsibilities:
Support pre-sales and project planning with labor and budget estimates
Evaluate site feasibility and compliance with customer requirements
Decide on internal vs. external construction execution; select and manage suppliers
Develop and manage site scope, methodology, materials, and crews
Create detailed schedules and adjust plans as needed
Oversee site construction, ensuring safety, quality, and compliance
Lead daily "go/no-go" meetings and resolve issues as they arise
Approve or reject completed work based on quality and accuracy
Provide project updates, reports, and performance feedback
Delegate administrative tasks to Construction Coordinators
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or 6–10 years of relevant experience
Deep knowledge of construction processes and telecom deployment
Skilled in site design, feasibility, and construction planning
Experienced with vendor management, civils, L&A, backhaul, and MW
Familiarity with site acquisition, zoning, permitting, and legal compliance
Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills
OSHA 10 required; OSHA 30 if managing crews
