Job SummaryWe are seeking a motivated and dedicated Apprentice Electrician to join our team. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in the electrical field while working under the guidance of experienced electricians. The Apprentice Electrician will assist in various electrical tasks on construction sites, ensuring compliance with safety standards and electrical codes.
Responsibilities:
Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in commercial setting.
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to understand project requirements.
Utilize power tools and hand tools safely and effectively to complete electrical tasks.
Support the lead electrician in troubleshooting electrical issues and performing necessary repairs.
Follow Electrical Code (NEC) guidelines to ensure all work meets regulatory standards.
Participate in the installation of low voltage systems and high voltage equipment as required.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment on construction sites.
Adhere to safety protocols and practices to minimize risks associated with electrical work.
Must know how to bed conduit & run MC cable.
Qualifications:
Journeyman/Apprentice Electrician License
Previous 4 or more years' experience as a Commercial Electrician is
Valid Driver’s License
Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy objects
Strong understanding of mathematical concepts and measurements
Professional appearance and courteous personality
Familiarity with industrial electrician practices is a plus.
Basic understanding of blueprint reading and schematics is desirable.
Experience using an ohmmeter and other testing equipment is beneficial.
Willingness to learn about high voltage systems and low voltage applications.
Ability to work effectively on construction sites while following safety regulations.
