This is an onsite, in-person position located at: 9502 Bayport Blvd. Pasadena, Texas 77507
With the need to travel to the Bay City, Texas location about 3-4 times per year.
Overview:
The advance occupational health nurse delivers services to maintain safe and healthy workforce. The position is required to ensures OSHA compliance and record keeping for work injury and illness and maintain professional compliance with State Nurse Practice Act. The role requires knowledge of FMLA, ADA, STD, LTD, OHSA, Worker compensation and HIPPA.

Works with leadership, HR, Environmental and Safety professionals to improve employee health, wellbeing, and safety
Manages Substance Abuse Program and performs local drug & alcohol testing
Promotes the EAP and provides information to employees to support health and wellbeing
Coordinates and completes employment health exams for annual medical surveillance and new hire exams (lab studies, hearing, vision, pulmonary function, EKG, physical demands assessment)
Provides onsite first aid care to injured or ill employees
Provides close case management for work-related injury and illness expediting a safe return-to-work and optimal care.
Compiles and submits injury reports in collaboration with leadership and safety professionals
Collaborates with external healthcare providers and third-party administrator to reduce employee lost time and contain costs.
Works closely with nurse team, lead nurse manager, local leadership, human resource team, and corporate risk management
Promotes employee health and wellness and coordinates onsite clinics for completion of annual exams and initiates effective employee health improvements
Administers Leave of Absence (FMLA), return to work process, parental leave, short-term and long-term disability,
Collaborates with internal emergency response team for medical case management and training
Maintains medical inventories, supplies, equipment, and calibration checks
Qualifications
Required:
Must be a Licensed Registered Nurse in Texas or compact license and BLS & CPR Certified.
A Bachelor's degree in nursing
5 years clinical experience with urgent or primary care and first aid
Proficient at case management, decision-making, conflict resolution and critical thinking skills
Knowledge of OSHA regulations and Workers' Compensation laws
Available for injury management and calls after hours on occasion
Organizational and communication skills with follow up to interact effectively with employees and leadership maintaining HIPAA confidentiality
Able and willing to travel up to 3-4 times per year to our Bay City facility.
Desired:
Master's in nursing with a COHN certification
Skilled in the use of computers, including Excel, Word and Microsoft, experience with Cority medical records system preferred.
Breath Alcohol Technician certification
CAOHC certification
Experience providing clinical testing such as: venipunctures, EKG, and pulmonary function testing
