Overview:

Citizant is seeking a motivated, people- and process-oriented intern to learn and work in our Human Resources Department. The successful candidate will participate in a practical, structured, systematic program of on-the-job training and related instruction to develop existing military technical experience. The intern will learn and perform duties under the following function areas:

Onboarding

Understand the full onboarding process from hiring approval to 90 days following the new hire's start date.

Assist in completing the HR onboarding checklist to ensure all HR activities have been initiated and completed on time.

Employee Relations

Perform routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs, including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; and performance management.

Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, employee benefits, and other HR-related matters.

Learning and Development

Review, track, and document compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training and professional development. This includes, but is not limited to, anti-harassment and business ethics training, certifications, and tuition reimbursement.

Employee Engagement, Recognition, and Programs

Assist in the planning of company events.

Track year of service milestone awards.

Offboarding

Assists with processing of terminations. Qualifications

Required Skills/Abilities

Must be an active-duty U.S. Military Service Member who qualifies for participation in the DoD SkillBridge program

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software

Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn Citizant's employee management systems

Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills

Must demonstrate attention to details

Completion of the internship does not guarantee a full-time position with Citizant. However, interns will gain valuable skills and experience to enhance their career transition.
