TEXO Recruitment are currently sourcing for multiple CNC roles on behalf our external client located in Dundee on a 3 month contract basis.
CNC Setter
Responsibilities:
Set up and operate state-of-the-art Matsuura CNC Milling Machines (3, 4, and 5 axis)
Work with a variety of metals to precise specifications
Interpret technical drawings and work to tight tolerances
Ensure quality control and machine maintenance
Collaborate with team members to meet production targets
Requirements:
Minimum 2 years of experience in CNC milling and setting
Proven experience with Fanuc controls
Willingness to be trained on Matsuura CNC machines
Solid understanding of 3-axis CNC milling (essential)
Experience operating 4 and 5-axis machines (preferred)
Setter/Operator experience is required
Must live within commuting distance of Cupar Muir, Fife
CNC Turner
Responsibilities:
Set up, programme, and operate CNC turning machines to produce small precision parts.
Read blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders to determine machining requirements.
Select and install cutting tools, fixtures, and tooling.
Monitor machine operations and adjust as needed.
Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments.
Perform routine machine maintenance.
Maintain a clean and organised workspace.
Requirements:
Precision CNC Turning – Programmer, Setter, Operator
Experienced CNC Turners required with full expertise in CNC Turning Machining Centres, particularly NLX 2500-700 and NLX 2000-500.
Proven ability to produce small precision parts with tolerances up to 0.005mm.
CNC Miller
Responsibilities:
Prepare and operate CNC machines to perform tasks such as drilling, grinding, milling etc.
Understand specifications of the task at hand and the desired result by reading blueprints, mechanical drawings etc.
Translate instructions into computer commands so the machines can perform the correct function
Prepare and load raw materials and parts onto the machines
Prepare a test run to check if the machines produce outputs according to specifications
Set machines to complete full cycles to fabricate large number of parts
Supervise the machines while they execute the tasks and make any necessary adjustments to produce a better result
Inspect and measure finished products and compare them with requirements to determine if the process has been completed properly
Check and maintain machinery daily to ensure functionality
Requirements:
Proven experience in operating CNC Milling Machines (3 – 5 axis).
Strong understanding of adjusting offsets.
Experience in reading and interpreting technical drawings.
At least 1 year of CNC Machine Operating experience required.
GCSE or equivalent (preferred).
