Position Overview: We are seeking a passionate and experienced Data Product Manager to join our Value-Based Platform (VBP) team. This critical role drives outcomes for the VBP by defining, tracking, and optimizing product value to consumers, clinicians, health systems and health plans. The Data Product Manager will collaborate with various teams / disciplines to leverage data and generate insights for portfolio decision-making, solution / feature development, and determining the impact of the VBP on Risant Health organizations. You will report directly to the Head of Insights and Analytics (I&A).
Key Responsibilities:
Data Product Strategy and Management:
Contribute to development of vision, strategy and roadmap for I&A discipline.
Help define and evolve the strategy for internal data tools, services and infrastructure used by product teams
Product Development and Execution:
Engage deeply with product, clinical and engineering teams to understand how they use and want to use healthcare data
Translate user needs into clear data product requirements. Manage the backlog for data products, ensuring features are prioritized based on business impact
Develop metrics, datasets, APIs, reports, self-serve tools to accelerate product development and experimentation
Drive adoption by making data tools intuitive, reliable and integrated into VBP operating model
Performance Monitoring and Improvement:
Partner with stakeholders to define shared metrics, dashboards, data standards and reporting processes
Monitor KPIs to optimize product performance and provide actionable insights to internal and external stakeholders.
Support continuous improvement through feedback loops and data translation into business insights.
Stakeholder Engagement and Risk Management:
Maintain relationships with key stakeholders (e.g., product, clinical, design, informatics, engineering, compliance) and align on plans.
Use repeatable approaches to identify and escalate risks to stakeholders in product development and market adoption.Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum seven (7) years of experience as a Data Product Manager or in a similar role in product development.
Demonstrated expertise in analyzing large data sets and using data platforms / tools for analysis and reporting (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Python, SQL).
Expertise in application of statistical and machine learning models to solve targeted business problems in a payer or provider environment.
Demonstrated expertise in healthcare data sources, structures, standards and compliance and privacy considerations.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, Economics, Data Science, Engineering, Statistics, Finance, or a related quantitative field — or 4+ additional years of directly relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
Preferred Qualifications:
Proven ability to build and ship data / analytic products used in population health, patient engagement, clinical decision support, or value-based care
Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work cross-functionally
Strong understanding of how data products feed AI models – including data readiness, labeling, provenance / lineage, versioning, integration, monitoring
Understanding of actuarial approaches to quantify risk and financial implications of decisions.
Experience in the healthcare multi-payer / multi-provider environment.
Familiarity with the product development lifecycle (phases, activities, tools)
Additional Information
Compensation and Benefits: The projected base salary for this position ranges from $137,780 to $182,600, depending on experience and qualifications. This role is also eligible for incentive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package, including wellness programs, retirement savings, and relocation support as applicable.
