JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Director of Sales & Marketing to lead the integrated sales and marketing efforts of two premier Hilton properties in San Diego. This role combines high-level revenue leadership with hands-on marketing and communications oversight to drive top-line performance through group sales, business transient, catering, and brand storytelling.
You’ll be the connective force between sales strategy and brand experience — driving bookings while cultivating emotional guest connections through digital, social, and experiential marketing initiatives.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Sales Leadership
Direct and manage all sales functions across both hotels.
Drive revenue through strategic planning in group, business transient, and catering segments.
Develop and execute annual sales budgets and forecasts in coordination with Revenue Management.
Lead weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance reviews and reporting for executive stakeholders.
Set, monitor, and motivate individual and team sales goals; lead hiring, training, and performance management of the Sales Curators.
Analyze competitive landscape and adjust sales/pricing strategies accordingly.
QUALIFICATIONS
3–5+ years of leadership in hotel sales, with proven marketing collaboration.
Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Marketing, Communications, or related field.
Excellent communication and writing skills.
Experience with Hilton systems (OnQ, Delphi, R&I) preferred.
Strong design and content creation aptitude; Canva experience a plus.
Budget creation, data analysis, and strategic reporting experience.
Self-motivated with strong time management and organizational skills.
Ability to travel locally between hotels and to industry events.

Hybrid office and on-property presence required.
