Were seeking a business-minded and healthcare-savvy Corporate Counsel to join our team. In this role, youll serve as a trusted advisor across the organization, providing legal guidance on a wide range of matters with a focus on pharmacy operations, healthcare compliance, and regulatory risk. This is a unique opportunity to be an early legal hire and help shape the legal function at a fast-growing healthtech company.

This is a hybrid position. Candidates must have an active license to practice law in the state of Ohio and should be able to commute or travel to our Columbus, Ohio offices as needed to meet business needs. While much of the work can be performed remotely, periodic in-person presence is expected to support collaboration, key meetings or initiatives.

How Youll Help Us Improve Healthcare

Key Responsibilities

Provide legal counsel on healthcare, pharmacy, and regulatory issues (e.g., HIPAA, fraud and abuse laws, PBM relationships, state pharmacy board requirements)

Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of contracts including commercial agreements, vendor contracts, NDAs, and partnership deals

Advise cross-functional teams on compliance obligations and risk mitigation strategies

Monitor changes in laws and regulations that may impact operations and proactively update policies as needed

Collaborate with external counsel on complex matters or litigation, as required

Support corporate governance, employment law matters, and internal policy development

Help build scalable processes for legal review, contract management, and compliance trainingA Few Things About You

J.D. from an accredited law school and active bar membership (preferably Ohio, or ability to obtain in-house counsel registration)

46 years of relevant legal experience, with at least 2+ years in-house preferred

Exposure to pharmacy operations, healthcare regulations, or life sciences. Proven experience in pharmaceutical and pharmacy contracting preferred.

Strong working knowledge of HIPAA, Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Statute, and other healthcare-related regulatory frameworks. Familiarity with URAC, NAPB, and GMP regulatory standards preferred.

Experience reviewing quality agreements and contract management.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills ability to work cross-functionally and translate legal concepts for non-legal stakeholders

Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and excited to build systems from the ground up
