Job Description
We are seeking a hands-on AWS Architect / Tech Lead to design, develop, and enhance highly available, scalable, real-time systems that support critical federal missions. You will collaborate across teams to align cloud-native solutions with business objectives, leveraging your expertise in both architecture and DevOps. This role spans the full software development lifecycle—from estimation and design to coding and testing—requiring both strategic thinking and practical implementation skills.CBP Public Trust clearance required.
Primary Responsibilities:
Lead design and development of AWS-based enterprise solutions using cloud-native architecture.
Provide technical guidance and prioritization support for implementation teams.
Collaborate with DevOps teams to drive automation, CI/CD practices, and container lifecycle management.
Deliver solutions aligned with customer goals and resource constraints.
Translate business needs into actionable user stories and deliver completed capabilities per sprint.
Assist with upgrades, sysadmin tasks, troubleshooting, testing, and documentation.
Partner with other stakeholders to ensure solution quality, security, and performance.
Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree and 12+ years of relevant experience (or equivalent experience).
Strong background in DevOps and cloud-native system design.
Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes/OpenShift).
Experience in Agile, SAFe, and Scrum methodologies.
Proficiency in CI/CD tools: Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Git, Puppet, Sonar Lint, etc.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Clearance: Must be eligible for CBP Public Trust.
Desired Qualifications:
At least one AWS Associate-level Certification (e.g., Architect, Developer, SysOps).
Proficient in infrastructure-as-code practices.
Experience supporting the full lifecycle of application development and O&M support.
Familiarity with system documentation and change management practices.
Preferred Qualifications:
Two or more AWS Associate or Professional level certifications.
Active CBP Background Investigation (BI).
Strong understanding of enterprise cloud architecture and security practices.
