Essential Job Duties
As a Senior Manager, Marketing Analytics, you'll be joining the team at a pivotal moment, playing a key role in shaping the team's direction and impact. Our Marketing Analytics team plays a crucial role in driving data-driven decision-making across our marketing initiatives.
You'll be responsible for leading a team of four Marketing Analysts, providing mentorship and coaching to enhance their skills and performance. In this role you will foster a culture of critical thinking and curiosity, empowering team members to explore data deeply and propose innovative solutions. You will collaborate closely with marketing leaders to leverage data in identifying areas for improvement and uncovering potential opportunities for growth. You and your team will also support channel managers and provide them with the data and insights they need to optimize the performance of their channels. And your team will help support larger initiatives and long-term planning as well.
As the Analytics team matures, it will need to deliver on the following priorities. As our Marketing Analytics team's leader, you'll play a central role in ensuring these priorities come to life!
Develop a cohesive vision for both tactical and holistic reporting
Increase confidence in reporting deliverables
Provide increased visibility into the effectiveness and ROI of Marketing efforts and spend
Add to the skills and capabilities of the current Analytics team
Position the Analytics team as strategic partners for the greater Marketing org
Empower Analysts to see and communicate the "so what?" in the data
Promote a culture of data literacy
You will:
Ensure your team is able to analyze complex data sets and translate findings into actionable insights that drive marketing strategies
Coordinate with internal stakeholders such as Data Engineering, IT, and Sales Ops to ensure the accuracy and availability of the data your team uses to generate reports and analysis
Develop a close relationship with Marketing partners on the FP&A team to ensure alignment in goal setting, planning, and forecasting processes
Lead team members to take ownership of their projects by delivering not only data but also insightful analysis and actionable recommendations
Identify business challenges and opportunities through data analysis and develop innovative solutions to marketing problems
Evaluate the evolving needs of Marketing stakeholders and adapt the deliverables and cadence of your team's work to align
Build and maintain a Marketing Analytics roadmap
Support overall data enablement and data literacy efforts across the Marketing team
Stay up to date with advancements in AI-supported data collection and analysis, and make recommendations based on industry best practices
What You Need to Get the Job Done
Education: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
Marketing Analytics Experience: 8+ years of experience in Marketing Analytics
Leadership Experience: 4+ years of leadership experience with the proven ability to mentor and coach team members
Analytics Mentorship: Proficiency in coaching team members to analyze complex data sets and translate findings into actionable insights
Roadmap Ownership: Experience in crafting and prioritizing initiatives for the team based on assigned objectives and strategy
Tech Stack Familiarity: Deep familiarity with data warehouse tools, Tableau, Adobe Analytics, and a strong understanding of the use cases and data structure for Marketing tools like Salesforce and Marketo
Marketing Understanding: Understanding of digital marketing channels and metrics (e.g., SEO, SEM, social media, email marketing), with previous experience developing/using Media Mix Modeling and other measurement frameworks
Collaboration: Strong cross-functional collaboration skills with experience working on multi-department goals involving overlapping strategies and plans
Project Management: Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
Innovation: Creative thinking to develop inventive solutions to marketing problems
What Will Make Us REALLY Love You
Proficiency in statistical analysis and data modeling
Experience with A/B testing and other experimentation methods
Experience managing analytics agencies
Experience using AI-first data and reporting tools
Ability to adapt to changing business needs
Bonus if you have familiarity with marketing spend tools (such as Uptempo, Morphio, Plannuh)
You consider yourself a self-starter who takes initiative and strives for continuous improvement
A Master's degree is a plus (not required)
