Hazen has an exceptional opportunity for a self-motivated and dynamic individual to join the growing Asset Management Team as a Senior Data/GIS Analyst to support the planning and modeling associated with various water, wastewater, and stormwater related infrastructure projects across the West region and nationwide. This individual will provide support for a wide range of projects in the water and wastewater industry as well as have the opportunity to apply many of the data analysis, modeling and visualization skills leveraging GIS and Microsoft tools to assist engineering staff on planning and design projects. This position will also work with our utility management solutions group to develop data visualizations, dashboards and provide data analysis on a wide range of projects.

The successful candidate will be a strong communicator who enjoys working as part of a team and will have the technical, organizational, and communication skills to:
Create, manage, validate, edit, and maintain various types of datasets, including spatial databases
Support the execution of hands-on development of the Extract-Transform-Load (ETL) processes, data models, measures, and visualizations necessary to build reliable dashboards for client's internal and external use
Support project teams with development and implementation of digital solutions for a variety of projects, including water/wastewater treatment, asset management, utility management and conveyance projects
Collect, analyze, synthesize, model, visualize and report on various types of client data
Lead creation and editing of GIS data
Develop and support web GIS and BI applications using Microsoft Power BI, Esri Experience Builder, Dashboards, Story Maps, Hub, Field Maps and Survey123 within ArcGIS Online platform
Perform QA/QC review of GIS data and compile metadata
Provide GIS training support, as necessary
Assist asset management team with development of asset management plans
Perform on-site field activities to verify asset information
Assist with preparation of reports, workshops and presentations for clients, conferences, etc.
Prepare graphics for proposals as requested
Perform miscellaneous digital solutions tasks and duties to support project managers and office management, as necessary
Minimum requirements for this position include:
B.S. or B.A. in Computer Science, Statistics, Business, Environmental Science, Engineering, Geographic Information Systems, Geography, Land Use Planning, or directly-related discipline, with minimum 4 years of work experience relevant to this position
Proficient in Esri’s ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, Story Maps and ArcMap
Working familiarity with critical elements of the Microsoft BI stack (e.g., Power Query, Power BI)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work within a team environment and independently
The ideal candidate will also have one or more of the following:
Familiarity with ArcPy and/or ArcGIS API for Python packages
Exposure to SQL
Familiarity with statistics, machine learning, and advanced data analytics
Familiarity with UI and graphical design
GISP certification with the GIS Certification Institute
