IT Project Manager

Unison Systems is looking for a skilled IT Project Manager to lead and oversee the execution of IT projects that support business operations for our client who is a leader in the energy sector within the oil and gas industry. This role is responsible for planning, executing, and delivering projects on time and within scope and budget, ensuring alignment with company goals and compliance standards. The ideal candidate will have experience managing IT initiatives in infrastructure, application development, and enterprise system implementations within a corporate or industrial environment—preferably in energy, utilities, or a similar regulated industry.

Long term contract opportunity out of Lakewood, Colorado. Hybrid schedule 4 days on site and 1 day remote.

Qualifications Required:

5-7 years of experience in Technical Project Manager (Agile/Waterfall) – Project Planning; Change Management; Resource Planning; Risk Management; Writing Requirements Document/Business Case/Test Scripts/Workflow/Process Definition/Other artifacts.

Experienced with standard office applications-Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Visio, Outlook, Project; Jira; Smartsheet.

Highly technical not needed, but technically fluent enough to navigate discussions around data, file transmission protocols, security protocols, web development, Automation, UI/UX.

Vendor Management & Procurement – Reading/writing RFx, SOW, Contractual Agreements (Master Agreements/Work Orders/Amendments/EULAs/NDA), negotiation, software licensing models.

Key skills – communication, problem-solving, organization, ability to work under ambiguity, high emotional intelligence.
