Position: Assistant Director of Admission
Department: Admission Office
Location: Warren Hall
Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30 am-5:00 pm; flexibility and travel required
FLSA: Exempt (Academic Year)
Milton Academy is an independent college preparatory K–12 school, boarding and day in grades 9–12, located just outside of Boston.

Summary of Position:
Milton Academy seeks an Assistant Director of Admission to join our dynamic Upper School admissions team. Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Perform a full range of recruiting and admissions selection responsibilities, including:
Reviewing and evaluating admissions applications.
Interviewing prospective students.
Interviewing prospective parents.
Serve on an admissions selection committee.
Travel extensively to recruit students.
Collaborate with the admission team and broader community to support enrollment goals and promote the school’s mission.
Generally participate in the life of Milton Academy, attending events, performances, and activities to remain closely connected to the student experience.
Additional responsibilities as assigned.
Supervision to be received: Supervised by the Dean of Enrollment and Financial Aid
Education/Certification/Licensure
Required: Bachelor’s degree.
Experience
Preferred: 1-2 years of experience as an admissions officer in a fast-paced, selective admissions office at the secondary (boarding preferred) or college level.

Ability to be flexible and work collaboratively with internal and external constituencies.
Ability to prioritize multiple projects and tasks in a fast-paced work environment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrated computer expertise, including proficiency in Google Workspace, Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Cloud.
Understanding of confidentiality and related issues.
Receptive to supervision and professional development.
Desire to be a part of a dynamic educational community.
Physical Abilities
Required:
Must be able to work at a computer for up to 8 hours each day in conjunction with OSHA requirements.
Must be able to move around the Milton Academy campus without restriction.
Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds.
Must be able to travel regionally, nationally, and internationally.
