Forklift Operator

Job Description

Salary: $17.00/hour

Job Summary:

Our client is looking for a skilled Forklift Operator. In this role, youll primarily operate a forklift to load, unload, and organize materials, but may also assist with moving trailers within the yard as needed. This is a temp-to-hire position.

Responsibilities:

Safely operate sit-down and/or stand-up forklifts to move, stack, and organize materials

Load and unload trailers and maintain accurate inventory counts

Assist with moving trailers in the yard using a shag truck (as needed)

Perform daily forklift and yard truck inspections

Work with warehouse and shipping teams to prioritize tasks

Maintain a clean and organized work area

Follow all safety protocols and company policies

Assist with general warehouse duties as assigned

Requirements:

5+ years of forklift operating experience (certification preferred)

Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors

Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work on your feet for extended periods

Strong attention to detail and safety awareness

Reliable transportation and good attendance record

1st shift: 7:30am - 4:00pm Monday - Friday, with some overtime

Willingness to work in either La Vista or Omaha

Preferred Qualifications:

Yard truck / shag truck experience

Experience in logistics, warehousing, or manufacturing environments

OSHA-certified forklift license
