Hire Type: Onsite, est. 6 month+ contract (may go longer or convert to direct)
Target Pay Range: $30.00 - $33.50/hour ($60K-$70K/year equivalent)

Job Summary:
Our client, a leading manufacturer of medical-grade instruments, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join their team on a contract basis with the potential to transition to a permanent role. This role is ideal for a motivated recent graduate with hands-on production or manufacturing floor experience (internship or co-op is okay). The Manufacturing Engineer will work closely with the Manager of Facilities & Maintenance Engineering, focusing on tooling and fixture design, engineering change notices (ECNs), process improvements, and ongoing improvement projects.
Job Duties:
Collaborate with the Manager of Facilities & Maintenance Engineering and Maintenance Team.
Design and develop tooling and fixtures to support manufacturing operations.
Implement and manage Engineering Change Notices (ECNs).
Identify and drive process improvement projects to enhance production efficiency and safety.
Spend significant time on the manufacturing floor to troubleshoot, assess, and optimize processes.
Ensure compliance with safety protocols, including wearing steel-toe shoes on the production floor.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
Hands-on experience working in a production or manufacturing environment (internships or co-ops are acceptable).
Comfortable working on the manufacturing floor and engaging with maintenance and production teams.
Basic knowledge of tooling and fixture design.
Familiarity with ECNs and process improvement principles is a plus.
Steel-toe-shoes are required when working on the production floor.
