Tool Technician
Salary: $26/hr
Location: Tempe, AZ
Industry: Defense/Industrial
Schedule: 2nd Shift, 2PM to 10:30PM
Employment Type: Contract to Hire
Requirements:
HS Diploma or equivalent required. Associate degree in Engineering desired.
2-4+ years of relevant calibration experience required.
Experience with dimensional calibration equipment to include gage blocks, calipers, micrometers, thread plug gages, ring gages, and GD&T.
Must have familiarity with hand tools and their usage
Proficiency in Microsoft Office required.
Must have attention to detail and be quality oriented.
Must have strong math skills (proficiency in high school level algebra)
Experience with Indysoft, Fluke Met/Team, Fluke Met/Track and Met/Cal a plus
Customer service experience is a plus
Steel toed shoes are required
Physical Requirements: Lifting is generally 10-15lbs with minimal repetitions.
Must be a US Citizen
Responsibilities:
Calibrates instruments to meet established conformance standards. Tests instrument accuracy and makes adjustments as necessary.
Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
Primary job functions do not typically require exercising independent judgment.
Works under immediate supervision. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.
