Security Guard – Transitional Living Center (San Jose)

Location: San Jose, CA

Status: Full-Time (Morning Shift) & Split Schedule (Swing/Graveyard Available)

We’re looking for sharp, reliable, and professional security officers to join our team at a transitional living facility in San Jose. Military veterans are strongly encouraged to apply.

Requirements:

Valid BSIS Guard Card

Power to Arrest and all current BSIS training certificates

Strong presence, alertness, and communication skills

Military background preferred (not required)

Must be punctual and detail-oriented

Responsibilities Include but not limited:

Conducting full rounds of the property every 30 minutes to 1 hour

Completing detailed Daily Activity Reports (DARs)

Screening all residents before entry

Conducting bag checks as needed

Assisting staff with room checks when necessary

Maintaining safety, order, and professionalism at all times

Monitor and secure the premises of the Transitional Living Center to ensure the safety of residents and staff.

Manage conflicts and de-escalate situations through effective communication and conflict management techniques.

Conduct regular surveillance using CCTV systems to identify and address potential security threats.

Administer first aid and CPR as needed, maintaining readiness for emergency situations.

Collaborate with law enforcement when necessary and uphold all security protocols and regulations.
