Estimator 1 - Commercial Roofing

Job Description

Are you looking to break into the construction industry with a company that values integrity, initiative, and growth? We’re looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Estimator I to join our team at a privately owned, women-operated commercial roofing company that’s built a reputation for quality, trust, and innovation.

As an Estimator I, you’ll play a key role in helping our team deliver accurate and competitive proposals. You’ll work closely with experienced estimators and project managers to review plans, perform take-offs, and assist in assembling bids for a wide variety of commercial roofing projects.

What You’ll Do:

Assist in reviewing project plans, specs, and bid documents.

Perform material and labor quantity take-offs using digital tools and blueprints.

Collect pricing from vendors and subcontractors to support bids.

Help prepare detailed cost estimates and proposals.

Participate in job site visits and pre-bid walkthroughs as needed.

Work collaboratively with our operations and sales teams to ensure accurate handoff after project award.

What We’re Looking For:

Strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with PlanSwift or Bluebeam is a plus.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.

Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.

0–2 years of experience in estimating, construction, or a related field preferred.

Degree in construction management, engineering, or related field is a bonus but not required.
