Construction Superintendent – Pre-Engineered Metal Buildings (PEMB)

Location: Travel-Based

Job Type: Full-Time

Salary: $110,000 – $140,000 DOE + Bonus Potential

Overview:

SPAN, a 100% Employee-Owned Company (ESOP), is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to lead large-scale Pre-Engineered Metal Building (PEMB) projects across the U.S. This is a travel-based role—you’ll work on high-impact projects nationwide while enjoying strong compensation, a supportive culture, and opportunities for growth.

Bonus potential up to 35% of base salary based on KPIs

Per diem paid 7 days/week during travel

What You’ll Do:

Supervise all on-site construction activities for PEMB and steel erection projects

Lead and manage mid- to large-sized crews on active job sites

Enforce jobsite safety, lead weekly safety meetings, and ensure regulatory compliance

Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, and project teams

Ensure on-time and within-budget project delivery

Read and interpret construction plans and drawings

Train and mentor team members and new hires

Communicate project progress and resolve issues on-site

What You’ll Bring:

10+ years of construction experience

5+ years of direct PEMB or steel erection experience

5+ years of supervisory experience on similar projects

Deep knowledge of PEMB systems and steel erection processes

Strong leadership and communication skills

Proficiency with Microsoft Office, email, and mobile tools

Valid driver’s license and insurability under company policy

OSHA 30 and First Aid Certification

Certified Aerial Platform and Forklift Operator

Ability to travel extensively across the U.S.

Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus

Preferred Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Business, or a related field is strongly preferred

Equivalent field experience will be considered in place of a degree
