About the Role:

To assist in the effective management and direction of restaurant operations in reference to quality service, supervision of associates, monitor quality and consistency of food production, cost control, and inventory. Pay will be based on qualifications and experience.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Include the following, but other duties may be assigned.

Monitor daily operations and systems of business.

Assist in creating and directing service associate training programs and assures all new associates are scheduled for Orientation and Training within their first 30 days after initial on-boarding.

Assist in hiring associates, resolving personnel problems and evaluating performance.

Ensures all service staff obtains and maintains current food handler’s cards and TIPS certifications.

Schedule hours and assign duties for all service personnel as directed by Clubhouse Manager.

Hold Pre-Shift meetings regarding food, specials, service, members on property and in-house.

Monitor product quality and guest satisfaction. Ensure that food and drink quality is consistent, appealing, and prepared to company specifications. Interact with guests to obtain feedback on quality of service and food and drinks.

Investigate and resolve complaints regarding F&B quality, service and/or accommodations.

Monitor the training of and enforce daily completion of proper cleaning standards for all equipment and service areas.

Assist co-workers with duties and promote team work as well as a “team” environment.

Assist monitoring and maintaining accurate records of labor for Payroll.

Assists in monthly Liquor, Beer & Wine inventory and insures cost controls.

Ensures weekly inventory of wine, liquor and beer consumption in order to anticipate amounts to be purchased and/or requisitioned to maintain par levels.

Possesses proficient knowledge of liquor quality and preparation of drinks and keeps updated on new and revised beverage recipes.

Assist in developing Clubhouse restaurant promotions to increase profitability.

Monitor associate and patron activities in order to ensure liquor regulations are obeyed.

Assist in monitoring compliance with health, fire and ABC regulations regarding food and beverage preparation and service and building maintenance in dining and kitchen facilities.

Controls waste in all areas including labor, food, beverage and alcohol not to exclude any controllable expenses in other departments of the course.

Capable of performing the work of all subordinates to include beverage cart drivers and front of house staff. Perform some service tasks such as taking orders, serving food and drinks, clearing tables and expediting when necessary.

Must have current ServeSafe Managers and TIPS Certification.

Attend scheduled training seminars and department meetings.

Regular and reliable attendance.

Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.

Keeps immediate supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance and takes prompt corrective action where necessary or suggests alternative courses of action which may be taken.

Maintains a favorable working relationship with all other company associates and purveyors to promote a cooperative and harmonious working climate, which will be conducive to maximum employee morale, productivity, efficiency and effectiveness.

Performs all duties and responsibilities in a timely and effective manner in accordance with established company policies to achieve the overall objectives of the position.

Maintains a professional standard at Glade Springs to include but not limited to: appearance, verbal discussions, written correspondence and interactions with members, associates and guests. Does not discuss confidential items with fellow associates or work-related issues with members or guests.

Other tasks as assigned by the Clubhouse Operations Manager.

QUALIFICATION STANDARDS:

Education and Experience:

Must have the ability to communicate in English and communicate well with guests

Self-starting personality with an even disposition

Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times

Must be willing to “pitch-in” and help co- workers with their job duties and be a ‘team player’

Strong knowledge of Food & Beverage operations and service, wines and preparation techniques

Excellent mathematical abilities in order to determine and track inventory, controls, revenue productions, and other hotel financial statements

Must have a flexible schedule: weekends, holidays and nights will be required
