The employee will be responsible for the medical management of the Neurosurgery patient population within the scope of an Advanced Practice Provider.
Utilizes prescriptive authority in accordance with state and federal laws and regulations
Obtains and documents relevant problem focused or comprehensive history from patient/medical records in a timely manner
Communicates effectively using appropriate terminology, format, and technology in accordance health system policies
Analyzes data to determine health status
Communicates effectively with other healthcare professionals
Performs an accurate physical exam
Demonstrates basic science and up to date clinical knowledge
Establishes a patient relationship characterized by mutual respect, empathy, and collaboration
Takes initiative for seeking opportunities to advance knowledge and experiences
Flexibility with scheduled rotations/locations as needed to ensure patient needs are met
Role duties may include but are not limited to:
Completion of admissions, consultations, subsequent day visits and discharges in the inpatient setting.
Independent practice in the outpatient clinic and/or inpatient setting and collaborating with physician(s) as appropriate.
Ordering and management of appropriate laboratory and diagnostic studies.
This role may require training and competency for procedures applicable to the department of hire.
This role will include an expectation of participation in the operating room in a first assist role.
