--Job Description Summary:
Advanced Strategic Insight (ASI) is hiring highly skilled fighter pilots/aircrew to be part of ASIs 6th Gen Design Team in St. Louis, MO. This position will work alongside a diverse group of engineers and analysts to develop advanced capabilities for next-generation fighter aircraft. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge in cockpit display and control content concepts and designs, leveraging their unique experiences as fighter aircrew.
--Position Responsibilities:
- Act as a subject matter expert on all elements of cockpit display and control content concepts and designs.
- Identify and outline integrated aircrew information and control needs.
- Conduct task analysis, which includes crafting operational vignette descriptions and breaking down tasks to pinpoint information and control requirements.
- Assign information and control requirements to specific components of the pilot interface.
- Create advanced definitions for cockpit tactical and non-tactical display and control content.
- Develop software for displays.
- Prepare and present briefs to management regarding advanced display and control content concepts and designs.
- Engage in both formative and summative prototype usability testing, offering insights and recommendations on design iterations based on usability study findings and operational considerations.
- Generate all necessary documentation for display and control content analysis and design.
--Basic Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Must be a previously qualified USAF/USN/USMC tactical Instructor Pilot (IP) or Instructor Weapons System Officer (IWSO) on tactical aircraft such as F-22, F-35, F-15, F/A-18, EA-18G or F-16.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience as a fighter aircraft flight instructor with relevant flying experience within the previous eight (8) years.
- Strong decision-making skills with the ability to work independently and lead smaller teams.
- Engage with users, subject-matter experts, and stakeholders to gather actionable feedback and reveal underlying problems.
- Work closely with product managers, analysts, and engineers to understand and resolve issues that affect product quality.
- Demonstrate ideas to stakeholders through tools such as concept models, sketches, wireframes, and prototypes.
- Rapidly design, iterate, and validate user experience solutions to meet user needs and constraints.
- Active Secret security clearance is required; ability to obtain a Top-Secret clearance is necessary.
