Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Assistant to join our team. As a Maintenance Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting with the repair, maintenance, and upkeep of our facilities. Your primary focus will be on general maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting duties. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent

- Previous experience in general maintenance or related field preferred

- Strong knowledge of basic repair and maintenance tasks

- Ability to operate hand and power tools safely and effectively

- Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively

- Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects

- Valid driver's license and clean driving record - must be able to pass insurance carrier's standards for coverage.

Responsibilities:

- Assist with the repair and maintenance of facilities, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting tasks

- Perform routine inspections to identify maintenance needs and report them to the Maintenance Supervisor

- Respond to maintenance requests and troubleshoot issues as needed

- Assist in the installation and maintenance of equipment and machinery

- Conduct preventative maintenance tasks to ensure the longevity of equipment and facilities

- Adhere to safety protocols and ensure a safe working environment

- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs

- Collaborate with team members to complete projects and assignments on time
