OT Test Engineer - SCADA/PLC/HMI

Job Description

The successful candidate will have working experience in the industry supporting OT infrastructure (DCS/PLC/HMI/SCADA) with an emphasis on networking, virtualization and remote support.

Responsibilities:

Test Computer-based control systems

Identify Manufacturing defects during project testing

Prepare Project test reports, Asset documentation and lessons learned

Update Documentation (Hardware / Network Drawings)

If required travel and assist with installation of projects after manufacturing (onsite)

Setup, configure and troubleshoot small networks consisting of 10 - 20 servers, workstations, PLCs, and switches

Wiliness to learn Protection testing in control systems

Self-starter/motivated/productive

Supporting Operational Technology (DCS)

Good OT knowledge

Willingness to assist with testing of control system equipment including PLCs, Input, Output cards

Troubleshooting end user work environments

Windows Server Troubleshooting

Review and update technical documentation to develop concise knowledgebase entries for future reference

Requirements

Potential candidates will have the qualifications below:

- Ability to troubleshoot server/computer hardware, software & network communication issues

- Must know Networking (Switches, Routers, IP Addresses, etc.)

- Knowledgeable with network architecture as well as server hardware and computer components

- Positive Attitude, Customer & Quality Focused, Polished Professional

- Associates or a Bachelor’s degree in related field

- IT Certifications: Comp Tia A+, Net+, Security+ MCP, MCSE, CCNA, CEH etc.

- 5 years of OT related experience in the industry

- Travel domestically to sites for service calls up to 10%

- Ability to communicate in Spanish is a plus
