POSITION: Audio & Video Specialist
Description of Duties:
Maintain, troubleshoot and repair electronic equipment to include but not limited to: projectors, computers and related audio-visual equipment. Installs, maintains, and replaces campus projectors, sound systems, and other electronic systems, ensuring optimal performance and reliability. Installs cabling infrastructure, including all cabling, amplifiers, and associated equipment that carries the campus video signal, along with campus network data cabling, ensuring seamless connectivity and functionality. Performs setup of audio-visual equipment for college events and special functions both on and off campus, ensuring high-quality presentations and experiences. Facilitates Zoom/Teams meetings, audio and video recording at various campus locations and events, ensuring professional standards and timely delivery. Provide support and guidance to campus users in the operation of audio-visual and related equipment, both on and off campus, fostering a user-friendly environment. Installs and maintains structured cabling, including patch panels, cable organization & troubleshooting network hardware issues, ensuring seamless network infrastructure integration and operation. Maintain an inventory of surplus parts for repairs and maintenance, ensuring readiness and efficiency in addressing technical issues. Collaborate with the Infrastructure Technology Coordinator to recommend services, order replacement parts, and support equipment, ensuring alignment with campus needs and budget. Assists in maintaining records of installations and maintenance, ensuring accurate documentation and accountability. Ensure regular attendance and active participation in campus activities, recognizing it as an essential function of this role.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent. Education and/or certifications in electronic technology or related field. Two years experience working in electronics or electro-mechanics to include experience with computers and audio-visual equipment. Proficiency with electronic testing tools and equipment. Working knowledge of a variety of computer software programs including MS Office (PowerPoint). Ability to interpret system wiring and schematic diagrams. Excellent customer service, communication, interpersonal and organizational skills. Moderate lifting up to 50 lbs and light carrying up to 25 lbs required. Ability to reach above shoulder. Periods of time spent sitting, standing, walking, kneeling, bending and stooping.
Desired Qualifications:
Associate's Degree in related discipline and/or related technical training/experience.
