Neurosurgery Physician Assistant

An established neurosurgery group in Rockville Centre, NY is seeking a Physician Assistant to join their team. Work alongside a team of board-certified surgeons and APPs. Candidates with previous surgical experience will be considered first.

Responsibilities:

Full-time, permanent position - neurosurgery, brain & spine

Strictly hospital based role

Typically 3x13 hour shifts but potentially flexible depending on candidate preferences

Conduct thorough patient evaluations and assessments

Diagnose conditions through physical examinations, medical imaging, and laboratory tests

Prescribe medications

Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed

Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide coordinated care

Qualifications:

New York State License

1-2 years of surgical experience

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

Excellent organization skills and attention to detail

Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities effectively

Proficient in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems
