Help Duties The Supreme Court of the United States Police is a Federal law enforcement agency that derives its authority from United States Code 40 U.S.C.6121.
The Supreme Court Police enforce Federal and District of Columbia laws and regulations, as well as enforce regulations governing the Supreme Court Building and grounds prescribed by the Marshal and approved by the Chief Justice of the United States.
The department's mission is to ensure the integrity of the Constitutional Mission of the Supreme Court of the United States by protecting the Supreme Court, the Justices, employees, guests, and visitors.
The primary duties of a Police intern involve clerical work, assisting department employees, assistance with special projects, and performing general office work in a police setting.

See * Applicants must have completed two semesters of undergraduate study and meet one of the following criteria: * Actively enrolled in an academic program concurrent with the internship term; * Returning to a degree program immediately following the internship term; or * Participating in a federal fellowship program after the internship; * Law students and graduate students are not eligible to participate in the Supreme Court Internship program.
* Preference will be given to applicants prepared to work eight-hour days, five days per week.
Some offices may accept interns available less than full time but at least four days per week.
* Interns selected for the fall and spring terms should plan to work for 16 weeks.
Education At least two semesters of undergraduate study are required.
