Job Title: TIG Welder
1st shift : 7am-3:30pm

The TIG Welder is responsible for setting up and maintaining welding equipment, performing TIG and MIG welding according to supplied instructions, and utilizing fixtures or table setups with clamps or angle plates to produce the correct shapes and dimensions. This role requires working to tight tolerances, minimizing warpage and distortion, and repairing or reworking parts as necessary. The welder will also assist in other areas of the shop, including grinding, straightening, and metal finishing to meet final product finish requirements.
Responsibilities
Set up and maintain welding equipment.
Perform TIG and MIG welding as per instructions.
Utilize fixtures or table setups to ensure correct shapes and dimensions.
Work to tight tolerances to minimize warpage and distortion.
Repair or rework parts to restore required tolerances.
Assist in grinding, straightening, and metal finishing tasks.
Use tape measures, calipers, and other measuring equipment to check dimensions and tolerances.
Read blueprint designs for precision sheet metal drawings.Essential Skills
4-5 years of experience in TIG welding.
Proficiency in TIG welding with focus on aesthetics and clean welds.
Experience in welding sheet metal or thin gauge metals.
Experience in welding stainless steel and aluminum.
Ability to read blueprint designs.
Proficient use of tape measure and precision measuring tools.

Work Environment
Work in an established, climate-controlled facility equipped with state-of-the-art machinery, including CNC press brakes and other sheet metal fabrication equipment. The shop maintains a clean environment with safety gear provided, and operates Monday through Friday, 7 am to 3:30 pm, with additional hours as required by projects.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of New Freedom, Pennsylvania.Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $28.00/hr.
