Job Description
The Shipping Clerk will be responsible for efficiently loading and unloading shipments using forklifts and pallet jacks, ensuring the safe handling of products. This role involves packing and wrapping orders according to item and delivery type, preparing them for shipment, tracking inventory, and managing stock levels accurately. You will perform picking and packing tasks to prepare orders for shipment, ensuring accuracy and quality, and assemble skids, boxes, and other containers as needed. Additionally, you will apply shipping labels on packed containers, boxes, and skids, maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency, and collaborate with team members to meet daily shipping goals, ensuring timely processing of all orders.
Responsibilities
Load and unload shipments using forklifts and pallet jacks.
Pack and wrap orders as required by item/delivery type, and prepare for shipment.
Track inventory and manage stock levels accurately.
Perform picking and packing tasks to prepare orders for shipment.
Assemble skids, boxes, and other containers.
Put shipping labels on packed containers, boxes, and skids.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Collaborate with team members to meet daily shipping goals.
Conduct regular inventory checks to verify stock levels.
Operate order pickers to retrieve items from storage locations.
Ensure packing lists are accurate.Essential Skills
Proficiency in operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and order pickers.
Strong basic math skills for accurate counting and record maintenance.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Proactive attitude towards safety practices in handling materials and equipment.Additional Skills & Qualifications

Work Environment

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $20.00/hr.
