Job Title: CNC Operator

Job Description

As a CNC Operator, you will be trained in the complete setup and operation of CNC Mills and Lathes. This role involves running part batches of less than 50 before transitioning to the next setup. You will conduct inspections on parts using micrometers, calipers, and various gauges and fixtures. Additionally, you will handle your own finishing, sanding, and grinding of parts as needed. You will work primarily with steel, including stainless, and various other materials such as plastics, brass, titanium, and aluminum. Training on how to edit programs at the machine using GibbsCAM and Fusion will be provided.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate CNC Mills and Lathes.

Inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, and gauges.

Perform finishing, sanding, and grinding of parts.

Handle multiple operations on parts requiring various machine passes.

Machine a variety of materials, including steel, plastics, brass, titanium, and aluminum.

Edit programs at the machine using GibbsCAM and Fusion.Essential Skills

Mechanical aptitude and ability to read blueprints.

Experience in machining and machine operation.

Proficiency in using calipers, micrometers, and inspection equipment.

Ability to read and interpret quality control documents.Additional Skills & Qualifications

2-year degree in CNC Machining is a plus, but not required.

Experience as an operator or in changeovers on machinery is beneficial.

Work Environment

The work environment is very clean, with a focus on regulated industries. Training occurs on the day shift (7am-5:30pm, Mon-Thurs) for 1-4 weeks before transitioning to night/weekend shifts. Night shift hours are 5:30pm-4:00am, Mon-Thurs, and weekend shift hours are 6:00am-6:30pm, Fri-Sun. The weekend shift offers a 36-hour workweek with pay for 40 hours, and overtime for hours beyond 36. The company currently employs 43 individuals and aims to grow to 60 by the end of 2024.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Horace, North Dakota.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $28.00/hr.
