Lead Tool Maker

Manufacturer of Dispensing solutions within the cosmetics industry in Eatontown is seeking a Lead Tool Maker.

Position Summary

Lead & coordinate tool repairs and maintenance. Proactively plan jobs based on production schedule & needs.

Job Elements & Position Responsibilities

Provide order structure and coordinate all activities within the molding room.

Responsible for housekeeping, quality of the parts, following the schedule in an efficient method.

Proactively review the production schedule and prioritize toolroom workload accordingly.

Lead mold setup, repair to equipment, process documentation and process changes.

Troubleshoot all problems assign appropriate technical help.

Communicate to other departments the need - material requests, Toolroom Work Order, Maintenance Work Orders.

Assemble and dissemble plastic injection molds.

Troubleshoot molds/recorded QC problems.

Part fabrication and machine work-milling, turning, grinding and polishing.

Cleaning and inspection of all related parts.

Replacement of parts due to wear or modification.

Measurement of parts and components to print.

Electrical testing of hot runner manifolds.

General machine work.

Required Qualifications

5-10 years of experience in tool making/tool maintenance.

Must be a class 1 machinist/tool maker.

Experience in plastic injection molds and hot runners

High school diploma and vocational training in related industry.
