Job Title: General Production Worker

Job Description

Lead and support the company's sanitation food safety program by focusing on proper cleaning and sanitizing of plant equipment and building in a manner that meets and complies with all food safety policies, FDA and OSHA regulations.

Responsibilities

Perform basic wash area duties including running a pan washer and cleaning utensils by hand when needed.

Disassemble and set up machinery for cleaning, covering electrical components with plastic as necessary.

Complete cleaning tasks according to Standard Sanitation Operating Procedures (SSOPs).

Identify equipment requiring deep cleaning and take appropriate action.

Use chemicals properly to perform cleaning tasks effectively and safely.

Report safety, food safety, and quality concerns to the appropriate personnel.

Comply with all employee safety and food safety requirements.Essential Skills

Food production and quality knowledge

Janitorial and custodial skills

Cleaning and sanitizing techniques

Machine operating skills

Mixing, blending, measuring, scalingAdditional Skills & Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Minimum of 1 year working in a kitchen cleaning or 1 year in a food plant as a sanitor cleaning equipment/machines.

Basic knowledge of pre-rinse, wash, rinse, and sanitize steps.

Understanding of top-down washing sequence for proper food safety.

Familiarity with sanitation chemical usage.

Basic knowledge of lockout/tagout programs.

Ability to learn how to clean all plant lines.

Strong prioritization and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.

Experience in fast-paced manufacturing environments.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

The work environment is a climate-controlled, FDA-regulated food manufacturing facility specializing in cookies and bars, located in River Falls, WI. It is loud due to machinery operation, and involves physical requirements such as lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling. Workers must wear hair nets, beard nets, closed-ended shoes, pants, and avoid loose clothing. The role requires standing for most of the day, with packaging roles occasionally involving sitting. The production floor is large, necessitating frequent walking between areas. Note: Shorts, piercings, nail polish, eye lashes, colognes, or perfumes are not permitted on the production floor.Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $52000.00/yr.
