Job Description
The Assembly Technician is responsible for assembling mechanical assemblies and sub-assemblies, ensuring they meet specified product quality standards while achieving production goals and customer requirements. This role involves working with a variety of electrical components using hand tools and power tools, focusing primarily on assembling 4-12 point terminal blocks for electrical panels. The assembly process is straightforward, with semi-automatic machines handling most of the work, although some manual intervention is needed to correct errors and finalize the assembly.
Responsibilities
Assemble products according to work instructions and standard procedures.
Utilize semi-automated machinery, hand tools, and power tools for assembly tasks.
Verify quantities and items for shipment based on Work Orders.
Pack finished products for delivery.
Receive materials from vendors, customers, or other warehouses accurately and promptly.
Assist in warehouse operations, primarily focusing on kitting customer orders.Essential Skills
General labor skills with proficiency in using hand and power tools.
Mechanical aptitude and previous assembly experience.
Ability to perform repetitive tasks and handle tedious work.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in assembling electrical products is a significant advantage.
Diploma not required.

Work Environment
The work environment is a small warehouse operation that is not temperature controlled, but equipped with large fans for cooling. The assembly area is compact and includes a team of 3-4 people. Physical requirements include standing, walking, and manual dexterity for extended periods, with occasional heavy lifting. The job operates on a Monday-Friday schedule.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Indianapolis, Indiana.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
