Director, Supply Chain Finance
Scope of Role:
The Director of Supply Chain Finance will serve as a strategic partner to the Chief Supply Chain Officer providing financial leadership across the end-to-end supply chain. Reporting to the CFO and collaborating closely with senior Finance and Supply Chain leaders, this role is responsible for financial planning, cost management, performance analysis, and value creation initiatives that support operational efficiency and strategic growth. This individual will translate operational initiatives into financial impact and help drive informed decision-making across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Business Partnership
Serve as a key member of the Finance Leadership Team, reporting to the CFO.
Act as the primary financial partner to the Chief Supply Chain Officer and the broader Supply Chain Leadership Team, including Manufacturing, Procurement, Planning, Logistics, Commercialization, R&D, and Continuous Improvement.
Align operational execution with strategic financial goals and drive business outcomes.
Financial Planning & Analysis
Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process for all Supply Chain functions.
Deliver executive-level summaries and variance analyses comparing budget, forecast, and prior-year performance.
Maintain a dynamic cost risks and opportunities log, providing actionable insights to improve performance.
Support financial reporting for executive leadership and Board presentations.
Costing & Operational Efficiency
Oversee the development and maintenance of annual standard costs by SKU.
Ensure financial discipline and cost control at manufacturing sites and warehouses.
Partner with Supply Chain leaders to track progress and impact of Value Creation Plan (VCP) initiatives.
Innovation & Commercialization Support
Lead financial analysis for innovation, renovation, and commercialization projects, including pack architecture, cost efficiency, and strategic margin planning.
Collaborate with R&D and Commercialization teams to forecast and monitor trial-related expenses.
Capital Planning & Investment Management
Conduct ROI and payback analyses for capital investment projects.
Monitor capital expenditures and ensure alignment with approved budgets.
Provide financial oversight for strategic supply chain initiatives and special projects.
Audit & Compliance
Support internal/external audits and due diligence efforts related to Supply Chain financial operations.
Team Leadership
Lead a team of four (including one direct report) responsible for Supply Chain Finance and Inventory Accounting.
Set clear performance goals, provide coaching and development, and foster a high-performing team culture.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
10+ years of progressive finance experience, with emphasis on Supply Chain Finance, Plant Controlling, or Cost Accounting.
Proven ability to perform complex financial modeling, scenario planning, and root-cause analysis.
Experience in a manufacturing or consumer products environment required; ERP systems experience preferred.
Strong strategic thinking, organizational, and problem-solving skills with a sense of urgency.
Experience driving change in fast-paced, high-growth, and entrepreneurial environments.
Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to collaborate across all organizational levels.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and financial software tools.
