We are seeking a strategic and compassionate Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our executive team and help drive sustainable impact across the community we serve in Jefferson Parish. The CFO serves as the principle financial official of Jefferson Parish Human Services Authority (JPHSA). This unclassified position is located in Metairie, LA, in the greater New Orleans metropolitan area and reports to the Executive Director.

Competitive Salary: Starting at $100,000 per year, depending on experience

Responsibilities
Collaborates with leadership to align financial goals with strategic vision.
Plans, directs, and manages all budget activities of JPHSA and its programs.
Oversees all funding sources.
Leads and mentors Finance Operations team members with transparency and accountability.
Works on service enhancement and expansion.
Ensures compliance with requirements of granting authorities.
Prepares and delivers testimony related to JPHSA before Legislative Committees as requested.
Develops impact statements in collaboration with Executive Management Team members to submit to various state planning and budget entities.
Oversees MCO and other third party payor contracts for JPHSA and its programs, including provider credentialing.
Manages the development, update, and communication of Finance Operations policies and procedures.
Administers contracts and other agreements for services, including ongoing fiscal monitoring.
Preferred Qualifications & Skills
Master's degree in business or finance is preferred. (A baccalaureate in financial management, CPA, or related field with commensurate experience will be considered.)
Proven record of excellent leadership, planning, budget management and development skills, ideally within government, healthcare, social services, or nonprofit.
Grants management experience, including work with multiple funding sources.
Positive, proactive, and solution-focused.
Ability to communicate complex financial concepts to diverse stakeholders.
Cultural competence and ability to treat all with dignity and respect.
Previous supervisory experience required.
