Job Title: Prep Laborer

Job Description

Join our team as a Prep Laborer, where you'll play a crucial role in preparing axles and other components for painting. Your attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment will ensure surfaces are ready for the perfect finish.

Responsibilities

Prepare axles and other components for painting by cleaning, sanding, and masking.

Ensure surfaces are free of contaminants and defects.

Apply primers and coatings as required.

Inspect surfaces for contamination, damage, or imperfections.

Clean and degrease surfaces to be painted.

Scrape and sand surfaces to remove old paint, rust, or other imperfections.

Mix and apply primer or undercoat.

Mask and demask, protecting areas that should not be painted.

Maintain equipment and tools used for painting preparation.

Document preparation processes and materials used for quality control purposes.

Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Follow safety protocols and guidelines.Essential Skills

Experience in a manufacturing or automotive environment preferred.

Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Additional Skills & Qualifications

Production and manufacturing environment experience.

Work Environment

Work in a manufacturing environment with a running assembly line and forklifts throughout the facility. Personal protective equipment is required, including steel-toed shoes, ear plugs, and gloves. Choose between two shifts: the first shift from 5am/6am to 2:30pm, and the second shift from 3pm to midnight.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Alburtis, Pennsylvania.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
