Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical Investment Associate to join our team. As part of a lean Unity investment team, the Associate will be given a broad range of responsibilities and will have the opportunity to work with both financial and operating professionals within the firm. Working with experienced private equity professionals, the Associate will develop deep industry, business, financial, investment, operational and capital markets knowledge and analytical capabilities.

The Associate will centrally participate in all aspects of the investment process, including: deal screening, detailed business due diligence and industry analysis, diligence process management, financial modeling, investment committee materials, legal documentation, deal execution and financing. The ideal candidate should thrive in a horizontally structured fast-paced organization in which all investment professionals work collaboratively.

Furthermore, the Associate will be involved in the monitoring, supporting and exiting portfolio companies. The Associate will work closely with management of portfolio companies and the Propel team on operating and strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Demonstrating intellectual curiosity and a desire to deeply understand the companies and industries into which Unity invests

Contributing to and actively shaping Unity’s culture

Demonstrating rigor, efficiency and repeatability to uncover the key understandings required for effective investment decision-making and business plan creation and execution

Ownership of the investment due diligence and execution process, including tracking and reporting of progress, interacting with management and third parties and ensuring compliance with broader process standards

Effectively communicating with all stakeholders, both internally and externally, to ensure the seamless execution of Unity’s investment process

Representing Unity and its portfolio companies during opportunity evaluation, meetings throughout the investment process, interactions with executives of target and portfolio companies and interactions with Unity’s investors

Analyzing financial statements and building financial models that underpin valuation

Preparing and reviewing investment materials that articulate investment rationale, due diligence findings, financial impact and potential considerations

Assisting in developing portfolio company corporate financial model and financial performance reporting packages

Supporting management and execution of portfolio company M&A, corporate development activity and strategic initiatives

Qualifications:

Excellent academic track record from a top tier undergraduate institution

2-4 years of experience in private equity, investment banking, management consulting, “Big 4” accounting, or a related field, by summer 2026

Strong proficiency in financial modeling, valuation techniques, and data analysis

Self-starter who can work well in a small, growing team and entrepreneurial environment

Highest degree of professional maturity and personal integrity

Intellectual curiosity and a demonstrated interest in an investing career
