Sunrise Affordable Housing Group (“Sunrise”) is a real estate investment company specializing in acquiring and operating affordable-rate multifamily properties across the United States. We target properties with LIHTC restrictions, Section 8 HAP contracts, and other affordability components. Our current portfolio includes a mix of LIHTC and Section 8 properties, designated for both family and senior residents, with concentrations in the Southeast and West. Our leadership team has an extensive track record in affordable housing acquisition with leading developers before launching Sunrise. Role Description
Sunrise is currently seeking a motivated and analytical Investment Analyst to support our Acquisitions and Asset Management teams. This role provides a significant growth opportunity for a candidate eager to advance their career in real estate investment and affordable housing. The successful candidate will contribute directly to deal sourcing, underwriting, due diligence and asset management initiatives. In this role, the Investment Analyst will:
Conduct detailed financial analysis and underwriting of potential investment opportunities, including building comprehensive financial models and sensitivity analyses.
Perform rigorous market research, gathering and analyzing data on market conditions, comparable properties, and economic indicators.
Prepare detailed investment memorandums and presentations to facilitate internal decision-making and external stakeholder communication.
Support due diligence processes, including the review of property operating statements, lease agreements, financing documentation, and third-party reports.
Track and maintain accurate records of deal pipeline, market data, and investment activities to support ongoing portfolio analysis and reporting.
Provide analytical support to the asset management team, assisting in the monitoring of existing investments, operational performance reviews, and strategy development.
Assist in preparing financial reports, portfolio summaries, and other documentation required by management, investors, and external stakeholders.
Collaborate closely with senior team members throughout the entire lifecycle of investment transactions, from sourcing through disposition.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Real Estate, Economics, Business Administration, or related field required.
1-3 years of relevant experience in real estate investment, finance, investment banking, private equity, or related industries.
Proficiency in Excel-based financial modeling and analysis; experience with Argus or similar real estate software preferred.
Strong analytical and quantitative skills with meticulous attention to detail.
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
Strong interpersonal skills to effectively manage relationships with internal teams, property management companies, and partners.
Salary
Competitive salary starting at $80,000 annually.
