Description:

Our client is entering an exciting modernization phase, completely transforming their Data & Analytics (D&A) capabilities. We are looking for self-driven, accountable, mid-level Data Engineers to join them as they rebuild and modernize their data infrastructure. In this role, you’ll initially support and maintain legacy systems (Informatica, Snowflake, Tableau) while preparing to transition into building future-state pipelines using modern tools like Fivetran, DBT, and Snowflake.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Support and maintain existing data pipelines using Informatica (ETL), Snowflake (Data Transformation), and Tableau (BI/Dashboards).

Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and translate business requirements into technical specifications.

Develop new solutions and enhance existing processes to optimize current pipelines (add columns, automate tasks, stabilize workflows, etc.).

Contribute to modernization efforts by gradually moving to the future tech stack (Fivetran, DBT, Snowflake).

Diagnose and solve issues related to data availability, ETL processes, replication, and observability.

Own your work from start to finish — problem-solving independently, collaborating cross-functionally, and ensuring solutions are fully delivered and supported.

Spend about 20-40% of your time interfacing with stakeholders and 60-80% focused on hands-on keyboard work.

Must-Have Skills:

Strong experience with ETL Tools – Informatica strongly preferred.

Solid proficiency in SQL for querying and managing large data sets.

Experience with version control tools (e.g., GIT, GitHub).

Basic Python scripting skills (preferred but not required).

Experience working with Snowflake is a major plus.

Excellent communication skills – able to interpret business needs and translate them into actionable technical tasks.

Self-starter attitude with strong ownership, accountability, and problem-solving drive.

Must be willing and able to work onsite 3 days per week in Columbus office.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

Experience with DBT for data modeling and transformations.

Familiarity with cloud platforms supporting Snowflake.

Experience with file-based transfers and supporting file ingestion workflows.
