Software Engineer - AWS/IoT

We are looking for an experienced Software Engineer - AWS/IoT to work for our client based in Columbus. The ideal candidate is passionate about cloud-based IoT solutions and has a strong background working with AWS services.

Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and deploy IoT solutions leveraging AWS cloud services (IoT Core, Greengrass, Lambda, etc.)

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate IoT devices into scalable cloud architectures

Implement security best practices for connected devices and cloud applications

Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize IoT applications to ensure performance and reliability

Develop automation scripts and infrastructure as code (IaC) for deployment and maintenance

Stay up to date on the latest AWS IoT advancements and industry trends

Qualifications:

Proven experience building IoT solutions within AWS environments

Strong knowledge of AWS services like IoT Core, Lambda, Greengrass, CloudFormation, and S3

Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Python, Node.js, or Java

Familiarity with MQTT, HTTP, and other IoT communication protocols

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently

AWS Certifications (Solutions Architect, Developer, or IoT Specialty) are a plus
