DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking a highly skilled, experienced, and meticulous Senior Airgap System Administrator to manage and maintain our critical air-gapped environments. In this vital role, you will be responsible for the secure and reliable operation of our isolated systems, including the administration of Windows Server, Microsoft Active Directory, and Apple Mac desktops. Your deep understanding of security protocols and best practices for offline environments will be essential to ensuring the integrity and confidentiality of our sensitive data and operations.

Day-to-day responsibilities and duties include:

Serve as the primary administrator for our air-gapped Windows Server environments, including installation, configuration, patching, security hardening, and performance monitoring.

Manage and maintain the integrity and security of our isolated Microsoft Active Directory infrastructure, including user and group management, GPO configuration, and security policy enforcement within the air-gapped network.

Administer and support Apple Mac desktops within the air-gapped environment, including OS installation, software deployment, security configuration, and troubleshooting, adhering to strict security protocols.

Develop and implement security policies and procedures specific to air-gapped environments, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and internal standards.

Implement and manage secure data transfer methods into and out of the air-gapped environment, adhering to strict security protocols.

Perform regular security audits and vulnerability assessments of the air-gapped systems and implement necessary remediation measures.

Troubleshoot complex hardware and software issues within the isolated environment, often requiring creative problem-solving in the absence of direct internet access.

Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of the air-gapped infrastructure, configurations, and security procedures.

Plan and execute system upgrades and maintenance activities within the air-gapped environment, minimizing disruption and adhering to strict change control processes.

Collaborate with security teams and other stakeholders to ensure the overall security posture of the organization.

Stay up-to-date on the latest security threats and best practices for air-gapped environments.

Potentially mentor and guide junior team members on air-gapped system administration principles.

REQUIREMENTS:

Applicants MUST

- must be able to qualify and maintain security clearance.

- have at least 6 years of Airgap System Admin experience and have a good understanding of professional business environments.

- be very friendly and able to calmly handle clients and staff

- be able to carry themselves in a professional manner

- be punctual, responsible, and reliable

- have good written and verbal communication skills (answering the phone and composing emails in a professional manner)

Pay: From $102,000 per year excluding bonus and benefits.

Schedule:

The schedule for this position is project driven and can be highly variable depending on project deadlines and the specific needs of the software development teams.

Monday to Friday

Weekends as needed
